SMARTBOX to Sponsor
Busch Series Driver in Richmond
Dange Hanniford to make Busch debut in SMARTBOX No. 56 car at RIR
RICHMOND, Va., April
27, 2007 – SMARTBOX, a portable storage and moving firm that is
growing rapidly throughout the country, today announces it is moving
into the fast lane of another sort by sponsoring the No. 56 car of Dange
Hanniford in next Friday’s NASCAR Busch Series Circuit City 250
at Richmond International Raceway (RIR).
Hanniford raced
in the Hooters Pro Cup Championship in 2006 (finishing two points short
of Rookie of the Year) and is making his Busch Series debut in Richmond
for the Mac Hill Motorsports team. He grew up in Darlington, S.C., minutes
from the track “too tough to tame.”
“We’re
excited about the opportunity to sponsor an up-and-coming driver, and
at the same time, introduce SMARTBOX to NASCAR fans across the country
and an ESPN2 national audience,” said Michael Lowe, president
and CEO of SMARTBOX.
SMARTBOX was founded
in 2003 and has opened franchises in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver,
Jacksonville, Fla., Minneapolis, Raleigh, N.C., and San Antonio the
past 12 months. Earlier this year, SMARTBOX was named as one of the
top 50 franchises in the United States by the Franchise Business Review.
