SMARTBOX
Forms Partnership with Chicago Cares
CHICAGO, Feb. 4,
2008 – SMARTBOX Chicago, a leader in the portable self storage
and moving industry, is proud to announce it is partnering with Chicago
Cares to help the community service organization with storage and moving
needs for a variety of its projects.
SMARTBOX will provide
storage containers – called SmartBoxes – to Chicago Cares
to use for long- or shortterm storage onsite at some of the hundreds
of hands-on group volunteer projects it creates, manages and leads each
month as well as offsite at SMARTBOX’s 24,000 square foot, temperature-controlled
storage center.
“Chicago Cares
has made a tremendous impact in the Chicagoland community for the past
16 years,” said Greg Kaufman, president and co-owner of SMARTBOX
Chicago. “We’re excited to be able to give a little something
back to them and hope we can help them accomplish even more of their
goals.”
Said Katie Stearns,
director of service events at Chicago Cares: “With as many events
as we create and manage, SMARTBOX is a natural partner for us. We’re
anxious to make use of the onsite and offsite storage capabilities SMARTBOX
can provide.”
SMARTBOX, new to
the market, services the entire Chicago metro area, offering individuals
and businesses affordable and convenient storage and moving solutions.
Customers contact SMARTBOX, which then delivers (up to seven of) its
more flexibly sized storage containers at one time (8 feet long x 7
feet tall x 5 feet wide) directly to their door. Users pack their SmartBoxes
according to their schedules, and when finished, they can either keep
the SmartBoxes at their existing site or call SMARTBOX to pick them
up for storage at its climatecontrolled storage center or delivery to
another location – across town or across the country. More information
can be found at http://www.smartboxusa.com/chicago.
