Let’s get started.

It's easy! Within 90 to 120 days of reading this, you could be on your way to running your very own SMARTBOX franchise. The following overview describes the discovery process from filling out the Request More Info form to the final step, joining the SMARTBOX team. Our commitment is to provide candidates with everything they need to make a franchise purchase decision. At the same time, we are looking for people who “fit” with our team, our beliefs, and our goals.

Step 1: Initial information request filled out and received by SMARTBOX

Step 2: We will contact you to introduce you to the SMARTBOX opportunity (1-2 days)

Step 3: Franchise Information Packet will be sent after the initial call to candidates who want to continue to learn more (2 days)

Step 4: Candidates will then fill out a Confidentiality Agreement and Franchise Application Form and return it to SMARTBOX (5 days)

Step 5: Upon receiving a completed and qualified application and confidentiality agreement, we will email you our current Franchise Disclosure Document (2-3 days)

Step 6: An application review will be conducted to review your background, work experience, and financial strength. (3-5 days)

Step 7: An in-depth interview to further discuss your strategy and business plans as they pertain to territory of interest, real estate, marketing ideas, infrastructure, etc. Time is also spent answering questions pertaining to our FDD document. (1 day)

Step 8: At this stage in our process, if the "fit", qualifications, and interest level are strong, we will invite you to join us at an upcoming Discovery Day, held at our corporate headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. (3 weeks to schedule)

Step 9: Attend Discovery Day. You meet the SMARTBOX team and we get to meet you. At the end of Discovery Day, you should be able to make a fully informed decision on whether or not SMARTBOX is a great "fit" for you. (1 day)

Step 10: Based on your continued strong interest, you will create and submit a business plan and financial projection based on the FDD and what you have learned about the business. (2 weeks)

Step 11: Once we have approved your business plan and financials, you will be notified of our approval for you to become a SMARTBOX franchisee. (2 days)

Step 12: If you choose to join the team, you will sign a Franchise Agreement, and our support team will assist you from this point forward, through grand opening and beyond. (1 day)

Total time: 6 to 8 weeks
